AVDIMOU BEACH

Avdimou beach is located to the south of Avdimou Village. The access road meanders through picturesque farmlands with vinelands, olive groves, and citrus plantations, providing many photo opportunities. The long beach starts at the Melanda Cove to the west and extends to the cliffs below the British military Bloodhound Camp to the east. The beach is wide with a mix of sand and pebble. The waters are clear and reasonably shallow, making it an ideal family destination. There is one full time taverna and one seasonal café at the beach.

There is a lifeguard on duty at the café during the summer months.

The beach is also a turtle nesting beach, so visitors are asked to be respectful of the marked nests, and to keep a safe distance so as not to endanger the young hatchlings.
